Adding items to explorer context menu

when i move my music from from one place to another I don't always feel like going theu the Move To Folder... option and navigating to the folder that I want. Is there a way that I can add a context menu item that will allow me to move the selected file just to the specific folder. I want the option to say Move to iPod Music.

Not sure if this is quite what you're after, but I find it extremely useful instead of having to go through the long navigation process when trying to get to a folder that I use a lot. Enhanced File Dialog

I've always used cmenuextender with iColorFolder. Never realized I could make my own arbitrary context menu items. That's just great!

ok this program seems to do what i need, just one problem. the menu item that i created never appears in the menu... any ideas?

Edit: I got it working! thanks sooo much this is exactly what I wanted! now how do i get it associated with just .mp3 files?

Just throwing this out there as another option. If you want a 'Move To' and 'Copy to' entry on any context menu without using another piece of software, Use these two Reg Files ...

For Copy To:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00



[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTAllFilesystemObjectsshellexContextMenuHandlersCopy To]

@="{C2FBB630-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}"

For Move To:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00



[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTAllFilesystemObjectsshellexContextMenuHandlersMove To]

@="{C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}"

You may have to kill Explorer and reload it or else reboot. Usually it works without doing either so check your context menu in explorer first.

You put it in registry. You can copy/paste one of them or both to notepad then save as "bu.reg" and double click the created file to add it to registry.

I know you asked for a context menu solution, but if you want a ridiculously useful alternative, why not look at Ave's yzDropfolder docklet. It allows you to set up a list of directories and then move the particular files to the location of your choice with a single click. I wouldn't be able to live without it (Thanks, Ave).
