yeah, it's the website for fry's. i do most of my electronics shopping there. never bought from them online, though.
it's a legitimate retail chain. a friend of mine who lives in California shops there frequently ^^. i'm thinkin' it's a west coast store, as i've never seen one where i live.

Most of the hardware they sell is either refurbished, discontinued or factory seconds.
They failed my 3 strikes your out policy.
3 purchases and 3 returns for bad products that were either DOA, had missing parts, or were not even the right part in the box.
I went to get a SCSI drive and found a nice one, not real deal on the pricing 10% off of retail, but good enough.
I go to the counter to pick it up and they hand me this thing in a static bag with three layers of scotch tape over it... no box, no warranty info, nothing but a drive in a bag.
I told them to shove it up their a**. I was paying for a NEW drive, not some reject that they just finished reformatting.
They did the same thing with a mother board... I get it home.. no cables, no paperwork and when I hooked it up, it was dead. I took it back 2 times beforee I actualy got a working mother board. This was not the cheap ECS crap either, it was a real Intel dual proc board.
Just keep that in mind when shopping there. They have great prices on software and blank CD's and stuff, just stay away from their hardware.
