Can't find AveDesk...

Hi,

I have a problem with AveDesk v.1.3 (Default) - doesn't need to install, just to double click the application file (right?)... I am using WinXP, SP2, 512 MB RAM, latest DirectX...

When I start AveDesk nothing happens?? In Task Manager says that AveDesk is running (in Processes and Applications), but I can't find it on Desktop?

As I recall I've had AveDesk before, but had some problems with it and stop using it.

What am I doing wrong? Or maybe I should've done something before starting the program...?

Um, maybe the introduction desklet doesn't work.

You should try right clicking on the taskbar icon and click

Desklets Control Panel... and then Desklets > Add and choose a desklet to open.

I'm just guessing, I hope it helps.

Not sure what you mean by "i love that movie"? Was I saying something stupid/wrong?

v.2.0 is Beta as I see.

The same pattern is repeating with the 1.2 version! In Task Manager (in Processes and Applications) says that the AveDesk is running, but I simply can't find it anywhere??

i was refering to your tagline - its from big trouble in little china

is there a blank location in your task bar, if there is right ckick that empty space then pick desklet control panel

then settings>global settings>tray icon - then check show a tray icon for avedesk

click that left/right arrow in the taskbar - then look for the blank spot in the taskbar

Have you done this?:

1)Create folder named Avedesk or any other name of ur choice in "C:Program Files"

2)Unzip ALL files to folder AveDesk.

4)Double-click "register.bat"

5)Go to folder "DATA", double-click reg_shellext.bat

6) THEN run avedesk.exe

@ travelfox - I did click that left/right arrow on the taskbar and showed hidden icons in the tray as shown in the pic ( http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/2605/taskbar1rb8.jpg ). As you can see there isn't any blank spot.

@ Vale46 - I haven't done what you wrote before, but I did it a few minutes ago and still nothing happens!??

Maybe I should've done something before all that... something that goes without saying, something I haven't done??
