Aqua-Soft Forumsi ran out of my trial for windowblinds and want to find a visual style not using stylexp... i want to always have a visual style and not having to worry about having a time limit... i have tried looking at other threads but not of them helped because i always found something that wouldn't work on my computer... i want to have a tiger style... not jaguar... thanks if anyone could help

Just use the uxtheme.dll patch by FlyAkite, it works beautifully.
If you want a good mac visual style then, go look at dobee's dA page (www.dobee.deviantart.com)

well i got the FlyAkite uxtheme.dll patch but then when i downloaded the TigerV at dobee's dA page it didn't seem to work because i couldn't find the theme file. or do you have to do something else?
Definitely Dobee and Kol made the only Tiger VS around here. Check dobee.deviantart.com and studiotwentyeight.com to download them.
TigerV wont work on your PC coz it is for WindowBlinds, not a standard VS.
That theme.exe in dobee's TigerV extracts the necessary file to your "%windir%resourcesthemes" directory and then afterwards you should go to display properties -> appearance and then under the Windows and buttons choose TigerV. If it isn't shown there that could mean that the files weren't extracted correctly (check the dir I mentioned in the beginning ) or that uxtheme.dll wasn't patched properly. (try useing neowin uxtheme patcher)
i redownloaded the whole thing and still doesn't work cuz it says run dll as an app then it closes and leaves the spot on the computer and it looks weird... i don't know how to explain it... it is probably something with my computer and it is different or the uxtheme.dll patch wasn't working for some reason... even when i don't try to change the theme to a tiger one just to a windows it gives me that error thing and again and i have to restart my computer. i am really starting to get mad about this... you guys are helping so much but my computer is just weird or maybe i am weird and my computer at the same time... well if you guys can help that would be great thanks...

That way we'll be able to isolate you problem more easily.

2: opened it up and then I restarted.
3: I downloaded the TigerV theme and extracted the msstyle to C:WindowsResourcesThemesTiger V
4: I right-clicked on the desktop and clicked on properties
5: I went to the appearance tab at the top
6: I did not find anything for TigerV
7: Clicked on Windows XP Style
8: Error message that says "Run a DLL as an App" at the top... then it has Send Error Report or Don't Send at the bottom and then I can't re-open properties.

Did you wait for the Windows file protection dialog? You need to wait for it to appear and then allow it to replace the file. THEN you do a restart.

It should be TigerV, without the space. Folder name must match the name of the mssytle that is inside.

When you click on the arrow under windows and buttons there should be TigerV in the list.

Why did you click on WinXP style, weren't you already useing it? Is there a windows classic in the list? Try switching between Luna and Classic.

Try searching for this error on google. It could be because of some hard-drive problems, viruses etc. and try this command "sfc /scannow".
