Hey guys, I have the original 5G 30GB iPod and I have the v1.1.2 software on it and I love it. I have been reading on the new v1.2 and it has some new features added to it. Has anyone updated to the new version from the old version and have anything to say about it? I don't want to update it unless something excites me about it-that I would want to update it.
So all in all... what are your guys take on the new version?

gapless playback, and you can buy tetris for it.
The gapless playback was totally worth the update for me. It just sucks finding out the prices of the new ones are lower since I already bought one.

Is it different than the one with just quickscroll, games, and gapless playback.
Or are they one and the same?
If they are different, I hope it has the search feature on it.

hahah yes you are missing something. There is a big difference in the versions.
Now I have to rehack all the bitmaps in the updater to look like the Element 5.5 theme haha

Yes-it happened to me a couple times and I don't feel like backing the few DVD's I ported to the iPod. That is why I asked.
And can you get the updater without installing iTunes 7?
why not search for one on apple's site, or if all else fails, google.
I updated my 5g to 1.2. Has quick scroll, gapless, and some new controls such as brightness, max. volume, etc.
