Linspire / Freespire / Linux

What's your toughts on Linspire, and freespire, linux OS(s)

*not sure if this is posted in the correct place, didn't see one*

I was thinking of trying / switching to a linspire / freespire based operating system. I would how ever love to switch to MAC, it just isn't even thinkable with the cost of a mac, Computers are only about top notch for about 3 years, and 2 or 3 grand isn't what im willing to spend on something that's going to search the internet mostly.

There's pros and cons to having a mac.

Pro - Power

Con- Price

I would trade my Toshiba Satellite m45-S2692 (5 months old) for a used mac mini, it's one of the computers i can part with.

So my question is has any one played with linspire or freespire software, and what are your thoughts about it... a good windows alternitive?

there is a linux software section along with a mac and windows section as well.

Linspire isn't free--and it's very similar to Windows. Depends if that's what you're after.
