What do y'all think? I just played around with the new Moby and these are my reactions thus far...
Somehow the Moby seems a little less "responsive" as does Y'z...dunno why. The icons which Moby brings really stink right off of the bat, so I changed them all around to look like Y'z and it still didn't look precisely like my beloved Y'z dock looks...
The eMail checking tool which Moby brings is cool b/c it's intergrated, but unfortunately the graphics are nowhere near as good as the ones that the Mail Check docklet brings. I tried to change the icons but really, you can tell they weren't meant for each other (the Mail Check built into Moby and the Mail Check docklet for Y'z icons).
I must say that I miss the docklets when I use Moby... The CPU docklet is something I actually seem to look at quite a bit. The iCal docklet I've gron accusomted to. The clock which Y'z brings allows for the use of different icons while only some icons seem to look well with the clock in Moby's...
Also, the icons seem far less "sharp" and clear when the magnification occurs in Moby... Dunno why this happens, but it's kind of unattractive...
Adding tools to Y'z seems easier...for some reason there is little to do, just drag, drop, change icons, bam... But the menu system in Moby seems, sadly, slightly more "user friendly" which almost complicates things for someone like me...
I wish that Y'z support would continue, but Mr. Y has clearly stated that it is over, forever, on his website. I guess that for now, I'll have to stick with Y'z. I guess that for now it'll be fine, considering that the latest Y'z was fully operational and works fine.
