Wireless router?
I would suggest you to get Linksys 2.4Ghz wireless router with speed booster. I bought the router 3 days ago and it's really easy to set up. My sister bought a dell laptop, so now she uses the laptop from anywhere in the house. The router works great. It did not crash yet though. I have WEP 128bit encryption enabled, so no need to be scared of getting your router's password hacked. It took me 30 mins to set it up and I was on the internet.
I was going to get Netgear but the store only had Linksys and I was being lazy to walk 10 more walks.
Edit: I got Linksys WRT54G as well 
I just got a Linksys WRT54G yesterday. It's great and works perfectly with my MacBook. It supports WPA2 security, which is great. You can also install third party firmware on it such as DD-WRT, which adds lots of new features and turns it into a router that would normally cost hundreds. It's cheap at Newegg.com
I set up my network last month on a Linksys WRT54GS and it works perfectly with the built-in Airport on my iMac and the PCI adapter in my PC. It also has 4 ethernet ports if you prefer wired.

Very easy to set-up, it also match-up with ur Apple hardware so pretty with alittle blue light on top flashing around.
Fast, Easy...and pretty looking, price drop down to 100buck maybe cheaper now...
I'll just advise you against 3Com routers, ive had one for six months and its just a ***** to use, i used to have a netgear router which was excellent.
We got a 2Wire HomePortal here, running on AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet (formerly SBC Yahoo! DSL, a much shorter name). It does wireless. But, It's also got 4 Ethernet outputs and 1 USB output.

+1 Except I have the WRT54GS, so it's a little faster with my Linksys wireless card.
Just don't get WRT54GC its small and looks good, but it lags on the Wireless, UPnP doesn't work and "Keep Alive" is somehow freaky on that one too. Instead get the real thing, the big one with 2 antennas, WRT54G is what I traded it in for. Its a bit more expensive, but does the job.
If you think Linksys is expensive: I can also advise you against anything from NetGear - it appears to be really cheap, but thats how it works too. Especially together with non-NetGear-stuff too. I can also adivse you against buying that MN-700 Router by Microsoft, well unless you are a freak and like to flash it with a new custom-firmware.
i disagree with neal i bought a netgear wireless router last febuary n it has never disappointed me, it supplys the internet to another pc and a laptop at all times with no problems n its really easy to setup, plus it looks really cool
Yeah I disagree with neal also: My friend has a NetGear router running on Comcast High Speed and it works awesomely.
