I have iTunes 7 Coverflow problem..

I just installed it in a friend's laptop and it suffers from the same problem.

I visited iTunes Store movies which has the same coverflow effect. Same problem there, too.

In my PC it works well, though.

My friend's laptop (Toshiba) has an nVidia geforce4 420 Go card (16MB), and it's loaded with the drivers upon purchase.

I couldn't locate any compatible drivers for downloading in nVidia's site or elsewhere.

Download the driverfrom this link. The installation procedure is automated, just double-click the .exe. It will most likely require a couple of reboots. If you have any concerns, download the installation guide first. There should be no problems though because the driver seems quite stable.

I still haven't found any compatible drivers.

I tried Windows Update and Microsoft gave me some weird driver that messed up the available resolutions, and I had to roll back the previous driver.

knotdoll, Coverflow will only work in 32-bit color quality. Below that, it will display this message.

Distortion: I have a nVidia on my desktop; Cover Flow works fine.

However, my laptop's ATi Mobillity Radeon 7500 shows the "iTunes is unable..." messsage even though my quality is 32-bit.

GeForce 4 class... Current nVidia Forceware does not list GeForce 420 Go but it does list GeForce MX 420.

I think it would be rather safe to try nVidia official drivers (latest Forceware 91.47)

edit: errr well i updated my drivers to nvidia drivers ver 91.47 and im still getting this problem

i cant get coverflow to appear in the itunes window...it only appears behind it

i have a nvidia 5200 256mb agp graphics card (i know its old but im lending my ati x800xl to someone) the animation doesnt seem to work at all for me...all i get is an imprint on the desktop....anyone have these problems? (ps no-one rip my theme from this screenshot please...not that youd want to)
