Wii is coming November 19th

Nintendo announced last night that the highly anticipated Wii will be released in the U.S. on November 19th at a launch price of $250. The Wii will be released just days after Sony plans to release the PS3. While Sony has said they will have a limited number of PS3's available for the holiday season, Nintendo assures they will have "far more available than their competitor".

50$ too much imo.

Japan gets it for 200$ and they usually pay more...

End up getting it anyway, maybe after christmas once things drop in price.

Sounds good. Definately getting one instead of a PS3. PS3's a rip-off.

I'm fully braced to take a price beating now, being a UK resident and all. I'm looking at £250 and a February release date.

I thought the Revo (I KNOW IT'S Wii! Revo just sounds better, and everyone still knows what you are talking about, anyway) was supposed to be the cheaper console. Hmm, I don't think I will be getting the Revo version of Twilight Princess.

Damn MGS and exclusivity to PS3 :( . /tear

i will be one of the first people in line for Wii, no doubt!!

I am debating on the wii or ps3. I just dont see shelling out $600 for a gaming system.

America's comes with Wii Sports, thats why.

And the dollar is losing value, etc.

Its region free, so feel free to buy a Japanese one if you want.

Well, the base iPod is $250 and we don't have a problem with buying that. :P

It's cheap compared to the prices of the 360 and PS3, lol.

say what?? how?

My problem is, (I UNDERSTAND ITS A WHOLE NEW EXPERIENCE BLAH BLAH BLAH) 250$ is so close to 300$ which is the price of the Xbox360' core system (tard pack). While it might not have all the bells and whistles, its at least a more next gen system in terms of the power of the machine. One that will let you feel like you're playing newer games rather then spruced up Gamecube ones.

You can always wait like a week after the release for a refurbished one, it'll probably be ~$225. Not much, but still better than $250.

Notice the box. and the region-free isn't suprising. I remember the idea of breaking the tabs on snes's and n64s.
