sry my bad english.

What I wanted to say is that how can i make my icons fade in on mouse hover. I would like them to be as transparent as possible, and when i go over an icon with the mouse, it becomes visible.

Hmmmm.... I don't think there is anything out there that will let you do that.... Maybe I'm wrong. Just wait.

I think there's an effectlet that will let you do that--not positive, but I can check.

Yeah, I found HotSpot, but that seemes not to work with my laptop. I described the problem already in the HotSpot thread.

But is there any other way to hide my icons? Maybe with a hotkey. I could use showcase, but when i set the docklet style to showcase, it iw always on top. If I surf on the internet and so on, it is disturbing me because they are on the top of the screen. And also it is not possible to set an effect to showcase. For example fade out and in. So, any other ideas besides HotSpot, because that is not working very well on my computer.

There is an effectlet called fade in/fade out. Not sure if that's what you're looking for or if the autorise effectlet will do what you want better?
