Time For Another Dock Poll: OD-Moby- The Other

I love yz, dont you people get me wrong ive been using it more than any other dock and i have no words to express my respect to mr yamaguchi whos such a talented samurai.

Though, i'd like to see people's reaction when yz dock drops frames cause of a slightly havier application on yer CPU.

whats the point in having a V-SYNC 50hz redrawing after having your true computer powers sucked out?

oh well.

I want to rant about it so deeply cause its such an absurd to prefer a similar dock to a 100% identical dock *sigh*, but i wont, it'll cause too many problems. <_<

I'm an ardent Mobydock supporter (can't wait for the new release...!)

Why?

* Very, very smooth (the smoothest Dock, especially with processes and programs runningon my P3 1.2Ghz)

* I find the context-menu for Moby to be most useful for my purposes. I like folder explor "on-tap".

* Most appealing Mag effect - I find Yz's (great shadow and toolbar apps!) mag effect a little narrow, compressed and jumpy for my liking - it's not really a framerate issue with Yz (altho that lowers at times), more the actual effect. And I don't really have use for the Docklets, so that excellent feature of Yz is not for me.

* Ditto for Object Dock - I've tried all the versions since 0.86, but I just don't think the mag effect is as nice as Moby....one is too 'flat' (too many icons in partial mag) and the other is too 'thin' (only a few icons with a steep hump-like mag).

Overall, I think we're all really lucky to have such a choice tho! Good health to all the developers here!!

screw it, i wasted so much time on the video capturing.

I got the latest version to test and folks i can tell you in advance its like having OD+YZ combined into a DX9 dock.

95% of the features both docks have this new one has as well, including stability and docklets. Cant tell yet.

Should be out pretty soon. Matter of days.

I have to see I feel bad for Mr. Y. He worked so hard on his project for Y'z, and if you're correct about Docklets and stability (Moby + Y'z combined), then I'm going to be switching...

He deserves some type of praise for his stupendous work... To be honest, I am still upset about the Y'z dock ending...

Is Moby next?

Yeah, I wouldn't count on Goku's estimate though. I remember on the last poll he said "a couple days". Its been months.

Oh well, its always worth the wait.

I guess this is a good opportunity for Objectdock and Mobydock to offer more soon and do a catch-up. The only reason that I don't switch is because Yz keeps giving me more features and ,it is stable, and quick on my computer. Being quicker than Yz dock is not enough for me to switch. More features and more stability with many icons might be. So far I'm too comfortable with Yz dock.

hmm only 8 people using moby dock... im in disbelief.... Moby your dock is the best and not to mention your dock was the initial dock publicly released that the community was able to fall in love with, and for that i thank you .. those 40+ people not using your dock are on spank!

I noticed this poll because every time I come to the site I click "view new posts" and then go down the line, checking out what's new...plus, I decided early on that Y'z was the best dock in terms of, as Duckie said, docklets, stability, features, and realism...so my vote, at least, wasn't influenced by the location of the poll.
