can't access windows partions on kubuntu

hey everyone,

like the title says i can't get to any of my other partions it won't let me mount them it says:

"could not mount device. the reporter error was: mount can't find /dev/hda5/etc/fstab or /etc/mtab"

anybody know wats going on and how i can fix it?
