Some Itunes problems...

Hello everyone, i switched from foobar to itunes about 2 months ago and have had some frusterating problems.

1.) Is there any way to create more then 1 folder for playlists? I have a folder for all my genres and then i would like to have another for play counts (played 1+ , 5+ , 10+ ect) , but when i go to create a new folder, it just places it as a subfolder in the genres folder. :(

2.) Does anyone know if its possible to make a smart playlist that lists the songs you have added that day. I tried this yesterday (9/2/06) and i thought it may automatically update the day to the next day but today (9/3/06) , it still lists the songs that were added yesterday :(

3.) Is there any way to get multiplugin to work? I have installed it about 3 times total and it works fine ...but after awhile itunes starts crashing and it says the problem modname is multiplugin...also, when i connected my ipod, it would almost always crash itunes so i couldnt update it. Anyone know why mplugin is so glitchy on my systeM?

thanks guys,

bsommer

1.) Drag the folder you created out of the "genre" folder,

or for creating new folder for your playlists, click library and then create new folder.

2.) shift+click create playlist button an then select "date added" then select "is after" and customise other parts of playlist you prefer and then voila! ;)

3.) search for your problem at MPlugin's own thread

hope that helps

1. Yes, it's quite easy. You just have to select your library on the playlist pane, and then create the new folder. The subfolders are created when you have selected a folder prior to creating a new folder.

2. Just change the rule. Instead of "Date Added - is - (date)", do Date Added- is in the last - 1 days. Simple and efficient.

3. Can't help you there. Multiplugin works fine on my system with the latest iTunes. Try to re-download multi-plugin, just in case you have a broken file...

Let me piggy back on this thread....

I had a 30 gig library and then I installed IT7, and then I pointed my settings (library dir) to my 30 gig libary on a different drive cause I wanted to see the new feature of the album cover browser. it was great, then but then when I went back to my Win amp, it could not play any of my book marks, so then I went to that directory and IT7, screwed every thing up....

I am so scarred.....it has rearanged every thing....every thing is now under one drive , the root..

before I had them in directories by sound tracks, ambients beats, hip hop, and some for listening to while I am studying....

so when I went to look at that directory, it copied every album over into on location and I can not find 80% of my music, where did it go???

I went under folder options to view hiden files and directoreis and say nothing.......

people I am so scared, what do I have to do to get my personal filing system back to the way it was before.... Please lend a hand...

the music is there under the IT7, but when I view it under windows explorer, I can not find my files.....

what do I do?

I am so desperate....

serendipityguy;

Got this from another board:

This is what I did:

1. Uninstall iTunes 7

2. Download the full iTunes 6 install from http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/itu...forwindows.html

3. Install iTunes 6

4. iTunes 7 will have updated the "iTunes Library.itl" file. iTunes 6 can't use it and will give an error.

5. Luckily, iTunes seems to make a backup, which I found at "My DocumentsMy MusiciTunesPrevious iTunes LibrariesiTunes Library 2006-09-12.itl"

6. Use this backup copy to overwrite the regular one in the parent directory (My DocumentsMy MusiciTunesiTunes Library.itl)

7. Run iTunes 6 and everything should be back to normal.

Maybe it'll work for you?
