iTunes doesn't work after FlyakiteOSX v3.5 installation

Hi!

After installing FlyakiteOSX v3.5 onto my PC (XP SP2 Hungarian) I had a serios problem: I can't install the latest iTunes v6.0.5 (or even the older ones) properly. At the end of the installation when setup wants to run iTunes an error message appears on the screen and the same error message appears every time I wanna start iTunes.

I've unistalled FlyakiteOSX and reinstalled without some components (like iTunes multi plugin, softwares, etc.) but I faced with the same problem.

I think it must be the dlls, or not... I'm really sad, 'cause I do love FlyakiteOSX, but I like iTunes as well, so could any of You help Me? I hope You know a solution for my problem.

Well the error message looks just like the common XP error messages: iTunes stoped because... bla bla.

Here are some parameters:

ModName: unknown

The technical information also contains 33 modules (iTunes.exe, ntdll.dll, kernel32.dll, advapi32.dll, rpcrt4.dll, comctl32.dll, msvcrt.dll, gdi32.dll, user32.dll, shlwapi.dll, etc. [all dlls]) and a thread (Thread ID: 0x00000bb0).

The following .txt file was connected to the error message (it's just a part of it 'cause it is too long):

That's all. To tell You the truth for Me it's just a lot of characters and numbers.

Uninstall both iTunes and Quicktime, used the windows installer cleanup to cleanup any uninstallation mess. Then I use windows search to search your computer for any file with iTunes and Quicktime and delete them all!! As long as its not a file that I may want to keep such as a icon file or such. This will requiire 2 seperate searches. You just need to search for iTunes or Quicktime, nothing extra.

Once that is done reboot then re-download and install the standalone version of Quicktime. (The most up to date one works fine for me and should for you). If you use firefox, you will need to configure it using these steps http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206210

for your quicktime needs!

Re-download iTunes and install it. The installation will be quick because it will notice that Quicktime has already been installed.

Once that's completed, configure your iTunes as you see fit and you should be fully up and running!!!
