PidlShortcuts to start in "explore" and not "open"

ok, i know the above may sound very odd. But here my situation, whenever i open a harddrive through PidlShortcuts on my desktop, it just "opens" open the drive. I want it to "explore" the drive. The difference of which, using "explore" i get the folders view expanded directory on the left pane. Is this possible?

P.S. Normally if you right click on a drive, you are given the option to either "open" or "explore".

this is awful. I did this awhile back & have forgotten. in desklets properties do the shortcut show "shell:drivefolder"?

#414907

ok. try this

Desklet Properties| Shortcut Tab

Shortcut: c:windowsEXPLORER.EXE

Arguments: C:FILE CABINET (Path to Drive or Folder)

If that doesn't work try a /e in front of the arguments path

SirSmiley: thanks for the quick reply. Doesn't seem to be working for me as well. My settings are below

inside the settings for PidlShortcuts>Desklet propeties>Shortcut>

Paths: E: (my drive i want to open)

where do i place the shortcut arguements you mentioned? In "Parameter"?

This is it

Desklet Properties to Shortcut Tab

Shortcut: C:WINDOWSexplorer.exe

Arguments: /e, c:

This will open your c: drive in explorer view.

The "/e," switch do the work and dont forget the comma.

edit : You can give a path so you can open again in explorer view any folder.
