If you are taking about new 975x and P965 mobos then it's partially true.
It will go fine as frog's hair as long as you are planning to use single GeForce card, but if you are planning to use SLi then it won't work on these new boards as they does not support SLi and nVidia won't release drivers supporting these Intel Chipsets. If you want Dual GPU solution then ATi Crossfire solution is the only way.
But if you planning on single GeForce card, then you can go ahead and put it on Asus boards just fine.
I have an Asus K8N-VM motherboard and a Nvidia 7600gs and i have not had any problems at all.
Thanks guys for the help. From what I have read In "pcformat" it seems that dual cards are not that much of an improvement on just the one card. The motherboard i'm getting supports to cards at x16 but for the current games on the market it won't be necessary for me to have dual graphics cards.
I'm getting the "A8N32-sli-dl" motherboard and an "amd anthlon64 x2 4200 939 pin dual core" processor
Do you guy's think that this is a good combo? I'm not a huge game player but I do like a few games like nfsmw and I think this should hopefully be more than enough for me.
well if you are going for Asus board for AMD, then be sure that nVidia is going to work just fine. A8NSLi is great board, and as you said it's not really required to have Dual GPUs but you can always go for second card in future.
