I feel something wrong with my thumbnails

I have just reinstall windows xp sp2 and install x-pretool to resize the size of my thumbnails in explorer.

Then, I regret. The speed of showing these thumbnails of Folders drops sharply and I have to wait for all of them showing up.

OKay it is not the real problem, but if I exit and reopen the folder, it reloads all of them again....

I still remember the original speed is about 11 folders per second.

I tried to set the size to default and use tweakUl to lower the quality of the thumbnails but still can't regain the previous speed.

I hope it isn't that serious I have to go to the last resort "reinstall"

Does anybody here know solutions of setting anything related to thumbnails to default?
