External Hard Drive Adapter

Maybe i'm just not using the right keywords, but i'm struggling to find what i want on google so i thought i'd ask.

I'm looking for some kind of enclosure/device that would allow me to connect a standard internal hard drive as an external one through Firewire/USB 2.0. Perhaps somebody knows of a company making such a device. Also, it would be even better if it featured the ability to use two Firewire/USB 2.0 ports in parallel to improve the data transfer rate.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. If it makes any difference, i'm looking to use it with a MacBook Pro, so maybe if there is some Apple optimised version... i don't know... but that might help.

Sure, what you want is an HD Enclosure. You can get a look at some of them on this online store. See if one there is what you're searching for, and go from there. They're quite reasonably priced too
