[Help] Reshack Irfanview

Does anyone know if it's possible? I hate those red raccoons.

well, it's possible. this was my problem too, i tried AsPackDie software to unpack the executable but no luck. so i wrote an e-mail to the author, Mr Irfan Skiljan.

He sent me the unpacked file after 8-10 mails (usually he replied each mail after 3-4 days so it was 2-3 weeks to get the file) because he didn't trust me and wanted to know why i wanted the unpacked one. i described i want to change only the look and he asked me to send him the reshacked file. :rolleyes:

I asked him to use upx execompressor in the future.

I don't know whether i should give you the unpacked file or try to get it from the author...

the toolbar is not so flexible, i wasn't able to make aqua-like icons for it.

I've found the compressor in the "i_view32.exe" file header: "ASPACK" and, searching around, I found the decompressor: "AspackDie". IrfanView is now ResHackAble

If you just want to change the icons of file extensions you can:

1. Download the irfanView-plugins

2. go to options>properties>extensions>miscellaneus and select use different icons (icons-plugin)

3. go to irfanView>plugins directory

4. find icons.dll and open it in reshacker

5. change the icon/s to your taste

make sure you get the right bit depth when replacing pics....when using photoshop take care with using the various colour modes (indexed, rgb etc etc...) then it might allow you to use those mods
