Posting in spam threads - READ THIS!

With the unfortunate rise in spam threads i have noticed an interesting trend amongst AS users. Instead of reporting the spam thread, majority (not all) are just posting stupid comments and in that way, both rising their post-count and bumping the spam threads.

So when the next spam thread appears, use the report function and staff will take care of it as soon as possible.

DO NOT POST IN IT!

If you do this you will be suspended for 2 days for helping keep the spm thread on top of the page. If you continue doing this, a permanent ban might be the option.

Help us keep AS clean and use the report button.

No seriously, if you plug stuff in General Discussion, it's spam. If it's a great deal, it's spam. If users report it as spam, it is spam. If it's pasted from a website, it's spam.

I think perhaps the report button should be more clear/in a better position. I was about to post "Well if you want us to report stuff, a report button usually helps"

Didn't see it at all on my first look, had to look harder to find it. I say you shift it along next to the Quote and Reply buttons because they ae more commonly used, and people will see it.

Oh, by the way, did you hear the one about Unbe editing people's posts? It's a really good one

It's on every single post, to the right of the title and the posted date. It's to the left of the Edit text on your own post. You're not the only one who's had trouble finding it .
