did you enable hibernation?

Why do users insist in calling it software?

Flyakite OS X is a System replacement pack that goes deep in the system files and replaces the ico/png/ visual elements of the system, it comes bundled with software that's true, but in reality its just a System Replacement Pack.

Look harder and see if something else is disabling you from hibernating

Yes, it is enabled... Can't think of anything else but this "System files modifying, patching and replacing" Software. - Pack equals Software. Not that you get me wrong I really like it alot - Otherwise I wouldn't take so much effort in getting it to work...

Thanks for the help I'll try my best to resolve this issue on my own but I would appreciate further assistance.

The term software can be readily applied here.

In fact, Chris Kite calls it software. From his site: "It is a software package designed to make an an XP based computer look like OS X.

Never heard of this problem before...hmmm. Perhaps disable hibernation and then re-enable it. Stranger things have happened ;).

I agree with nightcrawler. Try disabling and re-enabling hibernation Also, try changing some of the paramters to see if that has an effect (e.g., the amount of time to wait before going into hibernaion).

If this is a notebook, you could test to see if hibernation works in any other context, other than a time-based hibernation. For example, you could set hibernation to go into effect when the lid is partially closed. (I suspect this is a desktop PC, though, so this probably isn't an option.)

You could also try Googling "hibernation doesn't work" or some similar combination of keywords. I found quite a few hits related to the topic.
