I am trying to get the fonts in one of the iTunes skins that I have to the color that is in the first screenshot, but when i plug it into the skindata.ini file i get the color that is in the second screen shot.
If this is just a color limitation of itunes, then ok. But if not, then why is it giving me this ugly color?
The problem, I think, lies in the nature of Clear type rendering of XP. the rendering engine uses coloured pixels to smooth edges of screenfonts. So if the font ur using is too skinny (meaning u will have very little of the blue showing), smoothing off the edges with a lot of coloured pixels might give that strange result. Try turning off clear type to see if it gives the proper result. Either that, or that converter u are using is wrong.
I will try turning cleartype off. I know the converter isn't wrong because i have the color in other programs that i use (trillian's buddy list for example) and it looks perfect.
Edit: turned off clear type and changed font, still same result.... does the format that all the other colors are in have anything to do with it?
