Hi Guys,
When I was new to Objectbar i found it hard to find the appropriate shortcuts to the menus as the info was everywhere. So i thought I would gather all these shortcuts to one place. it would immensely help people new to OB. (hOPE IT DOES!)
PLEASE DO SHARE YOUR PERSONAL SHORTCUT FOR THE MENUS SO IT WILL HELP PEOPLE DECIDE WHICH SHORTCUT IS THE BEST TO USE.
Shortcuts
Apple Menu:
About this Mac- ATMAC (download from www.osx-e.com)
Software Update...- root:WINDOWSsystem32wuaucpl.cpl
Mac OSX Software...-rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL appwiz.cpl
Restart...-Shutdown (download from www.osx-e.com/downloads/Applications)
Shutdown...- The above prgram has seperate executable files for Restar, Shutdown and Log off!
Finder Menu:
About Finder...-About Finder (download from www.osx-e.com)
Preferences- sysdm.cpl
File Menu:
New Finder Window- Nexplorer 1.9(Download from www.osx-e.com or search @ google)
Add to Favourites- Root:WINDOWSsystem32rundll32.exe shdocvw.dll,DoOrganizeFavDlg
Create Archive- Winrar or Winzip and link it to Program files and the respective Exe file.
Burn Disc- Link it to Nero.exe or whatever is your Burning software.
Find- You have two options 1) link it as a shortcut to spotlight clones like ifind(true spotlight interface) or searchspy (Download from www.osx-e.com and under downloads go to Spotlight and choose which program suits you. Note: BOTH SEARCHSPY AND IFIND NEED GOOGLE DESKTOP TO BE INSTALLED,Files INDEXED AND RUNNING TO WORK!)
2) cHOOSE SYSTEM COMMANDS FROM OBJECTBAR behaviour class AND LINK IT TO DEFAULT WINDOWS SEARCH FUNCTION
Color Label- Link shortcut to iColor Folder software (Comes part of FlyakiteOSX or you can download it from OSX-E.com)
Edit Menu:
Special Characters- Root:WINDOWSsystem32charmap.exe
View Menu:
Clean Up-Root:WINDOWSsystem32cleanmgr.exe
View Options: Download the attached Folder options lnk file and save it to your directory. Then point the shortcut to the lnk file. Neat!
Go Menu:
iDisk- I have linked it to my DAP directory. May be you might want to link it to your ftp address
Connect to Server- %SystemRoot%System32mstsc.exe
Help Menu:
Mac Help- hcp://services/centers/homepage (Note: This is the XP Help and Support Center Homepage built into your windows directory. You dont need to be connected to internet to view this page. This looks better compared to normal windows help index.
