[Help] Is This True?

I have just been told by Godpunk that the dialog buttons in panther (dialog button meaning the blue buttons (ok/Cancel, etc) do NOT change colour when you press them.

Any XP user knows that when you press a dialog button, it goes slightly darker, to indicate that it is pressed.

Apparently there is no such thing in panther--> the button stays the same colour (and I therefore assume stays the same in Jaguar 10.2, Aqua 10.1 too).

How would you know it is pressed?

I need to know this because I'm going to upload my mod of Kol's panther to him tonite,...

Please someone verify what Godpunk has said, so that I can release this theme.

To see where it stands now:

well, in 10.1 and 10.2 it DOES go darker.

And I am surprised that it doesn't happen in Panther.

A corrupt extras.rsrc can result in that too, by the way. So I think someone else should verifiy it too.

edit:

Or maybe it just gets darker or 'pushed in' when you click it.. (NOT become blue). Is that what you mean Godpunk?

By the way, that theme looks TIGHT.

Yeah thanks, there'll be a bordered and borderless version.

All I need is that bmp screenshot of what happens to the damn blue buttons when they're pressed, and I can release.

There's a whole thread with 11 posts by me asking about this time and time again.

All the noobs that have installed panther, help us solve this.

Even if buttons don't change colour in Panther (which I doubt), I suggest you provide different button states in your theme. I wouldn't want to lose functionality in favour of 100% emulation of another OS.

Good luck! ;-)

This is what I have done,

I can't believe anyone who has panther has not come to reply to this yet.
