[wish]regarding Objectdock's Taskbar Feature

I don't know if it can be done by stardock or by anyone else, but would it be possible to have objectdock's taskbar feature remove an open app icon/snapshot when that icon is restored (not minimized) and then return to the dock taskbar when minimized? It would give it a more OS Xish feel, and would reduce clutter on the dock.

Thanks

I think he means when you restore an app it should take the icon right off the taskbar portion of OD (makes the dock smaller)...only when you minimize an app should an icon appear...is that what you meant Maverick? If so, I think it's a good idea too.

Yup, thats exactly what I mean hallf. I actually don't use the taskbar feature of OD right now because of that fact, it just gets to cluttered, mine dock already is big enough just with my shortcuts. I think it would be a great feature, since it is not only more practical (why have an icon on the dock for an app your currently using/viewing?), but is also more maclike. I wouldnt think it wouldn't be too difficult either, relatively speaking. Since the developers of OD can get it to recognize when an app is open, what's stopping them from making it recognize if the app is minimized or not?

Another feature that would be awesome would be to get the window to minimize to and restore from the actual location where the icon in OD taskbar is, maybe even with OS X's sweet "window shrink/grow" animation. ;)

Seriously though, If any developers think they could do this with ObjectDock or point me in the right direction that would be great.

ahh, now i get it...

i usually have all my windows maximized, so i wouldn't like that feature at all ;)

but i would like the focused window not to show in the dock :)

What about making the OB change sizes according to the amount of icons in it (like OSX)?
