I've searched thoroughly, but couldn't really find an answer.
Is there an app that allows for the selection box a la OSX, in Windows Explorer?
Just like the Avedesk selection box, but for Explorer, not the desktop.

Selection box? Like around the outside of files/icons when you select them?
NeXplorer. But its too slow.
Yeah, I know about NeXplorer, but I mean an app, such as Ubericon, that just adds the effect to Windows Explorer.
Im not after a finder clone such as NeXplorer.
NeXplorer is slow? It runs pretty well on my super-slow IBM R40, but is slow on my desktop with a P4 w HT.
sorry to bum this ine,but i have the same Question....maybe after a year, someone has found a solution....i searched though, couldnt find anything.
so if someone knows of a utility that draws a selection box around icons....
That's a great idea.
I'll start working on it tomorrow.
But don't count on me, I'm not even sure it's possible.
Sounds cool... but idk if it is possible.
Well I tried to do it, but it doesn't work well, no matter what I do.
Anyway, In Vista there is a selection box anyway, and it can probably be changed to the grey OS X selectio box via resource editing or such.
it would be very nice to have selection box thingies :)looks lovely

The only way I see it working is if you went into each icon file and changed it so that when you click on it is shows a different icon (the one witht the selection box)
