Question about rip.

This might be in the wrong subforum, but I figured it is classified as GD.

My question is...

Is a mod of Apple's Aqua wall considered a rip or would you be able to release it? Suggestions or comments?

I'm sure it wouldn't be. Susumu and other artists have done (simple) mods of the Tiger wall. I believe you would be able to release it. No one would consider it as a rip.
