AveDesk 1.3 at launch no desktlets

ive read about this problem iv various threads in this forum but somehow this problem was never answered.

it starts with the first avedesk launch (documents settings deleted before first launch). the black introduction desklet blocks all content on my desktop and i have to press ctrl+esc to continue.

than after i placed all my desklets on the screen and saved the theme i close avedesk. at relaunch of avedesk the correct theme is loaded and the manager shows all my themes should be loaded, but none of em appear on the screen. i have to remove em all and add new ones.

in my opinion it could be some focus lock problem or so ... no clue. but since other peoples have the same problem ....

i tried stopping and closing all my other apps. but no change.

Are you running desktopX, iconX, or something alike?

I just fixed it.

I guess it was some GDI-Bug, GDI-Objects get effected when windows are created or closed.

it is discussed in this thread in german

i had to do the following:

1. I had to download this file and install it WindowsXP-KB319740-v5-x86-ENU.exe (565KB).

2. restart.

3. download the UXTheme Multi-Patcher v5.0 by Windows X and start it. you need it to use third party msstyles again after the MS-update.

4. restart

5. get Avedesk 1.3 and run "register.bat" and the "Datareg_shellext.bat".

6. start "AVEDESK.EXE" and have fun.

btw: i got the standard Flyakite 3.5 package running with Übericon, Y'z Shadow, RK Launcher and Winroll so there is no conflict.
