Different dock pros/cons

hello, i remember a while ago i tried star dock objectdock but was not really satisfied with it...

i heard about other apps recently...

what's the best of them?

i'm looking for a light and simple one

Rk launcher hand's down. Especially with the upcoming futures and requests. Created by a active programmer who hasn't left or recieved a c/d letter from Apple, since he also isn't part of a enterprise such as Stardock the requests/bugs etc get to him faster.

I'd say if you can find it. Yz Dock is pretty good too, but I wouldn't know it compared to RK as I never cared to make the switch

i just installed RK launcher and it looks great : easy, simple light..

i also installed that aladdin lampe effect but i don't see it in the options, what is it exactly?

i also wonder where to download themes?

Soon Rk launcher's window will be simplified, as for now go to: Settings>Behavior>Look down to "Use Minimize/Maximize effect, check it and select Genie effect there.

For the Genie aka Aladdin Effect you need to have a good graphics card or download the swiftshader plugin. Not sure of the link.

I have the latter & only use it when I'm in a charitable mood..resource wise.

PS. Congrat's Gnome on becoming a mod?

yep, u need a powerful graphc card for it, in mine it runs somewhat mediocrely.

And gnome, flamewar hmm...never seen one in AS

I have tried object dock , Rk launcher , and Yz Dock I have all three on my computer at the same time so far so good I am using one for application one for folders (object dock just because of folder views from the dock neat feature)- Rk Launcher used to crash a lot but this build seems to be more stable and YZ dock is fine just for holding applicatiions and shortcuts that are compatable(sp) Any suggestions as to use one over the other?

Rk. Its compatibility with (most) of OB docklets and Y'z backgrounds shows its an all round tool. And the RealDock theme (found at osx-e.com) makes it super authentic.
