Want to buy a new DVD drive

I have found an old PowerG4 in my store and it still works!

But frankly, the dvd drive's borken and I would like to buy a new DVD writer for it.

I have tried plugged my Lite-on SOHW-1693 as an ATA-drive but failed .

It said buring is not supported but still be able to read things.

I feel confused of how to buy a mac-compatible "burner"

For further upgrade to Tiger from my 10.3 I, need a writer on Mac to burn a Tiger bootable disc.

Need any commands and recommendations

(Even though I know it is not possible to burn a .dmg from PC =/)

Thx for any help~

Well, actually it is possible to burn a dmg using a pc. I have done once, using a dmg to iso converter. I don't remember the name of the program, but a google search will provide you with a freeware to do the job. That is IF that is what you want.

As for mac compatible dvd-writers... I know nothing.
