Need some codng help here. I would like to know how Shaun Inman does the navigation dropdown on his website, http://www.shauninman.com/

At the top of the page, there is this button that says "Navigate/Search". When you click on it, the list drops down. How does he do it?

there is a big long javascript at http://www.shauninman.com/assets/js/si-object.js that renders the animation. And it's tailored for Inman's website.

Take a look at the script.aculo.us effects if you like that kind of stuff.

If you want to be big, you gotta learn how to do things, be original. If you really want to succeed you have to bring something new, otherwise you'd be a ripoff of Inman's site

Haha yeah willy is right, but I have to say.. That website is pretty sliick.. I like it. But yeah if you want to be big, you will have to create something new.

Ps : Shauninman don't want to use navigate script other web sites. I asked a few months ago, he didn't answer me for permission.

he wont let you use his scripts obviously..

there are very similar effects for moo.fx, scriptaculous, and other effects libraries...

maybe you should learn what a website is, structure, presentation, styles, before going onto scripts and these such things...
