I am a big fan of Object Dock, though I don't always like it's magnification. I love the stability of RKLauncher and RocketDock, but unfortunately, I can't get either of them to show "running tasks" like ObjectDock can. I use the dock as a replacement for the Windows taskbar, so I need clickable access to all open windows that would show up on the taskbar.
What other docks do this? Or can I do so with Rocketdock or RKlauncher, and if so, how?

in rk launcher goto the settings & click minimize to dock - fox
That helps a bit, but unless I am messing something else up, only the minimized windows show up then, rather than windows that are open, but just not in focus right now. I would like to see all of them down there, if possible...
I used to use RKLauncher to open programs and a small ObkectDock on the side with only the running tasks. Other than ObjectDock there's no program that can do exactly that.
Resurrecting an old thread, but is there still no other dock besides OD that can do this?
I'd like to have something dock-like on the right side (widescreen laptop) but if it does'nt show tasks then I can as well stay with Windows taskbar...

Ideally, RocketDock would not only display minimised tasks but also all running apps, which apparently is not possible, right?
You just can add a docklet, which displays the tasks by clicking on the icon.
The best solution would be if you click on app icon in dock which has open two and more windows, it shows stack fan view with possibility to chose between those windows.. if you would to open new window of this app, just double click on dock icon. But I don't think, this can do just a docklet, in needs to create a new dock
Just for the record, here is what Mac OS X Leopard's dock does for an app with multiple windows:
If you maintain left mouse button pressed over app icon (you can right click if you plug an USB mouse too) the icon's context menu appears, and at the top every app's open window title appears. I'll post a screenshot on Monday to give a more clear idea.
