Sysstats seems not able to write configs to disk

hi,

I'm running XP2SP2 with Objectdock 1.3 and Sysstats 2.5.11 (SysstatsCOM.dll is registered)

when I add a new Sysstats-docklet to OD and load a preconfigured config file (no matter which e.g. wifimeter, iCal,...) the only thing that shows up when opening the configuration dialog is an overlay called "Background_1.0.4", but there is nothing to see...

second I try to configure my own widget, so I set up all the items according to the iCal.ini and got a pretty looking calendar in my OD. Now I go to "save as..." and placed it next to the other ini-files as "myCal.ini".

The short term effect was, nothing ever reached the file system, there was no "myCal.ini" where I placed it.

the other effect: by restarting OD I just et back the "invisible" docklet, with the overlay called "Background_1.0.4"... ??

It seems to me like sysstats isn't able to write things to disk.

(new docklets are properly added to the ini-files of OD)

I reapplyed the default security configuration of XP, but this didn't changed anything

anybody has a clue on this?

I would love to use all those neat widgets...

Thanks in advance

Joerg

What permissions are you running in your login? i.e do you have admin rights? It almost sounds like your not getting proper permission to read/write the files...

I'm using a domain account which is in the local admin group, asking windows for the "effective rights" for that account (properties | security | advanced | effective rights) it shows that the active account has full access on everything in /objectdock

do you need some special informations on permission?

I'm not an expert by any standard so I don't feel confortable giving further advice...

All I know is it works fine on the PC's Ive used where the login has admin rights.
