What I have to do to make this work ???
Im guessing, you dont have winrar, or a ".rar" uncompressor. I siggest you get winrar. Its free and very usefull (for me anyways). But i will edit it into a zip file. Now, if you're havving trouble applying the skin into shellwm, refer to the documentation at their website. They can explain it way better than i ever would. Google it, and search for shellwm

I put a zip file instead, so winrar isnt needed. Just unzip, and place the folder in the skins directory. It should be: X:/....../ShellWM/Skins/Panther/******
Note, you might have to make a panther folder and put all the images in there.

Well, sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesnt. The way i got mine to work was pure accidental. I have a 4 meg integrated graphics ship by intell on my mother board. Thats basically my "video card" thus, cant handle many things. I was working on making a nice screen shot one day, so i got some windows ready. I got y'z shadow up on the windows, after i made shellwm run, and i decided to run trans2k. I i was just one step away from the screen shot when i clicked the rollup button on one of the windows, then all of a sudden, a quick flash of the blue screen of death, with soething on it that i never saw before, then the computer restarts itself very ABRUPTLY. When the pc loaded windows back up, y'z shadow just simply started to work with all my windows.
i only have problems with shellWM...i tried it out with windowsfx and with YzShadow...they did not work with shellWM.
shellWM changes the shadow of windows to a coloured line (same color as the
desktop background picture) and i cant open the windows anymore after i scrolled them up....what can i say....shellWM is a ... :dr_evil:

You have to reconfigure y'z dock's settings so that the line doesnt appear. Its very simple, but tricky (kinda)!

Here's what to do.
On the config screen, when you double ckick the tray icons for Y's shadow, there's a setting for making the shadow offset to an inner side. The default is "0", you want to move that to "5". Thats all!

but there is still the other problem that you should never close
a window when it is roll up...you cant open it again.

I did notice that ShellWM 0.6 Beta is now available for public release...For anyone who doesn't have their website, here is a link:

Micro...nice job on the Panther skins, for with 0.6 Beta being released I might give it another try...I am a member of their site, and always check their bug reports...they are trying...

I see that ja450n has updated 20030731...some real nice looking Aqua, Graphite, Brushed, Brushed Blue & Graphite skins which are available @SkinBase...

Seems like Floyd25 forgot to update the .zip to 0.6 Beta...for the old link stated D/L for 0.6 Beta, but it really was 0.5...
I see that the 0.6 Beta link has been updated...lol...will now D/L it again, and hopefully get 0.6...

as soon as the ShellWM guys stop chaning the skin format around..

Hey sounds great, for I really like your other Aqua, and Brushed themes...the fonts are very accurate!
Understood, about shellWM devs still trying to achieve stability, which of course affects skin development...
On my WinXP SP1 laptop, I'm using the latest 0.6-10.08.2003 version with no major issues...although floyd25 does not recommend using it any msstyle...Those using some older Windows OS's 98 & ME, are having issues...for he only tested it on WinXP...

I tried shellWM a few times and on each occasion it refused to play nice with a number of my programs. It goes a bit screwy with things it doesn't like which basically makes the thing useless for a few of us. If they ever get ShellWM finished I hope it has these huge deficiencies sorted out. <_<
Other than that I like what it does and how it looks.
Completely understood, for I have tried it since 0.4 and always had issues...0.6 (10.08.2003) with WinXP SP1 system on my laptop and Yz Shadow 1.3 & Firebird 0.6.1 Milestone is working with good stability...
Granted my 'Exclusion list' is getting longer, but it now solves my issue with 'every' VS that I have tried always having that 'black-glitch/gap' in the upper right hand corner of the Title Bar that was really quite annoying...
