EQ or Bass/Treble Adjustment for System Audio

Well im trying to look for a way to adjust the bass/treble globally on the OS X.

So far the only solution I found was using AudioHijack http://www.rogueamoeba.com/

but with that i have to leave the program open which i really don't want to do and its kinda expensive.

I was hoping there was some sort of tweak or something that i can use to adjust this.

bass/treble sliders would be enough but a 10 band EQ would be even better..

Im on an GooseNeck iMac and the sound is kinda horid at times.

If there was a option to do so on the player I would but pandora doesn't have that option.

and kind of solution would be great.

well....foolprood solution and a good one...

if ure so concerned about eq....get yourself a hardware...

nuthin better than that...

its platform independant...

hehe....im a musician so i have an eq...but i know everyone will not spend on it...

i googled n bumped into this

well i would get some hardware but then it would be some external hardware.. as I can't really upgrade the imac too well.. maybe a usb mixer or something of that matter..

normally i don't really use the imac to play any type of music... but i recently figured out what pandora was and also realized that since the imac is basicly in the middle of the room and the speaker is pointed up the music actually gets carried around the room pretty nicely.. granted the speaker in the imac isn't the best considering i can get some $30 logitech speakers that get louder and sound a tad nicer. but then it would only sound good in a certain direction. that i learned with the pc.

and with the script that you found sadly i can't really use it with pandora.. which is what i have been using the most lately.. thanks though
