I want to know how to transfer the songs u have on your ipod to your friend's ipod.

Seriously, you can't transfer songs from your iPod to his iPod without using 3rd party software.

errrr yes you can.....when itunes is openyoull see ure ipod appear as a hard drive in my computer....go to folder proterties an enable view for hidden files an system files.....you should see a partiallly visible folder on ure ipod.....go into that an youll find a folder entitles itunes music or something....it will contain mp3s with jibberish names.....copy the folder containg the to ure pc....an add the whole folder to itunes....making sure you have enabled copy to library when adding tracks....immediately the track names will be back to normal.....then just copy them to the other ipod using itunes and ure done

Make sure you have enabled "disc use" on your iPod.

Plug it into a computer (ie your friends).

Open a window in Windows Explorer.

Select in Menu bar Tools-> Folder Options -> View Tab-> Radio Button: Display Hidden Files and Folders-> ok.

In iTunes:

Make sure you have enabled "Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and "Keep iTunes music folder organized"

File-> Add folder to Library- browse to folder "x:iPod_ControlMusic" where x is drive letter for iPod.

It should now import all the songs from you iPod to iTunes on the new computer.

BTW is it legal... if it is your music- as in you made/performed it. Or the license permits you to distribute it. There is nothing strictly illegal about copying music from an iPod- just copying copyright restricted music.
