thunderbird tweakin'

Couldn't find it anywhere ... I want to get rid of the long linez and menu space in the top of TB window (like the apple mail) but don't know how. HELP plz...see screenshot.

I think that's decided in the skin, but don't quote me on that, as I used to use thunderbird..
