Dont you guys get me wrong, specially you pedros (Y) you've done an amazing job, the lay out, the menus the bitmaps and some sweet little extra stuff, but the fonts and menu structures are identical in peteross' theme.
You do have extra more menus he doesnt have (like the user switch menu), but I just dont wanna let people down: this isnt the most identical one yet.
People already gave me a "its better to my taste" replies. Fine, but none of them ever saw osx in their lives before.
Again, dont wanna look like an a$$hole, but if you wanna get perfect resemblence pedross - id say there has to be a little more work on this sweet theme (fonts, menu structure, just a light refining).
Please - this is only to be realistic, balanced and hopefully helpful. I've downloaded this theme, liked it, but its still not there yet.

What is the sense in having fake key commands when they have absolutely no use on windows? Sure it looks almost identical to OS X, but let's not forget we ARE running windows here, and fake shortcuts and fake key commands just don't cut it for most people. If you're going to show off one skin on the front page, it's only fair to show them all. Pedro's theme is really good, and people should be allowed to have options and make their own choices as to which is better. Comments such as these comming from an admin, are very disheartening, and even cruel I'd say. Telling people their work is 'not good enough' is not a good way to get them to try harder or make new skins.

I'm not giving up functionality and looks. besides about functionality, peteross' app menu says finder all the time. while all the other available finder bar shows the title of the active prog. true, we would never get it to say finder instead of desktop or object bar but isnt that more useful/true to osx?

no i aint dissing peteross's bar... at least he said under the topic that that is just his take on panther...he doesnt brag about it, say it the best in the world..etc.

well, there is 4 panther finder bars out there right now including binary's and xero's. it's up to the user to decide which bar is best for him/ suites him the best. anyways all the bars aint big gigantic downloads. ( i have all of them on my hdd) it aint that difficult to download all of them and let yourself see which one is best for you.

No worries, i completely understand and i truly believe this theme is great, even the font is super.

Though i kept watching over and over again and i simply think that pete's font is just a little 'cleaner'. The LucidaMac font you/pedros use, is GREAT and accurate but so far its just not it. Its like the fonts on my mac are completely anti-aliased and aligned while the PC clone one isnt. I agree though, i've had that font (lucidaMAC) for a while now and i think thats the closest one so far (i actually use the bold one in my whole system. Infact i replaced my registry system's font with that cause its just good). But still its its not there yet for me, in OB themes mostly.

Anyway - sorry if i sounded discouraging.

I just want to give it a little touch

I don't know about functionality (well I personally prefer to keep ALL WindowsXP functionality even at the expense of not looking like MacOS X , I'm not one that likes to see fake images that do nothing just to fool others it is a Mac ), in reference to the "look" I like the left image better than the right image. This means I like Pedros theme for Objectbar better than the Original MacOS X. The icons are slightly larger and the text is slightly wider making things more readable. I like it better because in fact it gives better functionality=readability than the original MacOS X and unless you had them side by side you would not notice.

on the ichat bubble..... where it shows your buddies and stuff.... its not working for me, is it just for looks... or does it relaly work, if so, how?

its somewhat for looks, but it also launches your IM applications from there, its for looks in that it doesn't control your status or display your buddy list.
