Osx Interface Design Resource

I know a lot of people are either using screenshots or an actual mac with os x as a reference when they make themes, but I found some very, very useful information on the osx interface.

Finder menu

The link above shows the finder menu, and the edit, view, window, help etc. menus can be seen in the links on the left.

Use the links on the left side to go to different aspects of the ui, a lot of them have pictures and actually explain pixel sizes for elements and stuff.

Also, for those of you that design icons to use with your os x themes and such, I found this.

Aqua Icon Kit 1.1 download here

The description says:

In order to help you create high-quality Aqua icons for your Mac OS X products, we have put together the Aqua Icon Kit, which contains templates and instructional materials for creating high-quality icons.

I don't know if it is just possibly photoshop templates so it can be used cross-platform or if it is a mac specific app. I'd open it but the computer I'm on doesn't have the necessary apps to do that, and I don't want to bother with it right now.

the icon pack, includes some psd and actions, I was able to open it some time ago at school, but then the files were lost.

Most people already know how to create the "aqua" buttons. However it's the other interface styles that no one posts tutorials on, like iApp, the title bars with stripes, min / max / closer buttons, etc. I'm teaching myself all that. I just recently discovered how to make a close replica of the iApp look from scratch in Photoshop.
