I have just downloaded the Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 RC, and its awesome! The official Beta 1 will be released before the end of the week. FF 2.0 has a ton of new features, including several new things that will probably interest us who try to emulate Safari. By default, the search bar says Google, similar to how Safari does it. I haven't had time to fully explore it yet, but it seems to move at about the same speed as 1.5.

Ummm... an RC comes AFTER a Beta, not before.
So it's either and RC or a Beta... it can't be both.

can the previous themes still be used? i donot want to use the default interface.
Yes theyre can be used, but some elements of theme are diferrent, for example search bar, and these ements have to be changed in themes
can u give a link for the beta 2, i cannot find the downloadable link in firefox wp.

hmmmm.. RC, or Alpha or Beta... hell let it even be Gamma.... whatever... Did they fix the memory utilization in FF2.0?
i word of caution to those wanting to try this out: nearly all extensions and all themes are not compatible with this version. then, when you uninstall and go back to 1.5, all your extensions and themes will be greyed out and you'll have to reinstall them all. otherwise, i still didn't find anything remarkable about beta2.

Well, there's more about technology and standards support than UI that's new in 2.0. So It'll take some time before webmasters will start using those for users to notice.
As fore graying out all themes and extensions - that's because someone didn't read requirement not to start 2.0 with 1.5 profile

They went insane with it, but I get their reasoning, if there's no bugs then just slap the name beta 1 on it. Which they did a day later.
