Web Challenge Ideas

Hi im working on a web site for a competition hwld in New Zealand called Web Challenge. Basiclly you make a web site about a subject that you are learrning in school. I've decided on doing microbiology but I have almost no ideas on what the site should look like. I have a very good knowledge of CSS, XHTML and Flash. So what im asking is just for ideas on content and layout.
