changes in visual style dont stay

hi...

Whenever I apply a MS visual style and change some stuff thru "appearence --> advanced", for example font and tooltip color, it always changes back on the next reboot. The VS is still there, only it changes back to the "default".

Anyone kno how I can fix this?
