I have an 80 gig hard drive with about 25 gigs left on it. I want to try out vista. So heres my question. Can you guys help me out? I need help on...

-Partitioning my Hard drive

-The actual installation

-Iso burning programs

Help would be great.

the actual installation is the easy bit, just pop the dvd into either xp or boot from the dvd at startup, either way it'll load up, although you'd get more options in xp.

for the other stuff, benji's links'll help, i used nero to burn the iso file..i didnt even know about the powertoy, thanks benj

Well My only problem is now creating a partition. Any help? I flat out dont know how to do it.

Ive never tried this before so excuse me.

I find DeepBurner to be an easy, free CD/DVD (and ISO) burner.

Well im fine with the DVD. I just need some sort of partitioning software. I have the trial of partition magic but its not allowing me to create a partition.

Use partition magic for the partitioning, it is pretty self-explanatory.

Mount the iso with Daemon Tools or Nero Image Drive. You can install easily from your current Windows install that way no need to burn the dvd.

I have found partition magic to be the best......And if you downloaded the beta through microsoft they will keep you up to date as well.

Also make sure you give your second partition at least 15 gigs or it will not install.
