Using Styler and WindowBlinds together

I was just wondering how one would make their explorer toolbars look like they do in a screenshot such as this? I've used several themes that display explorer looking like that, using the finder version provided and what-not, and it still doesn't appear that way, screenshot. Is there something else that needs to be done to make it look that way? I'm using Windowblinds 5.01 build 52 (enhanced). I've tried searching here and google and didn't have much luck (wrong search parameters maybe?). :slant: Thanks.

You have to use an application called Styler...

It´s now freeware and can be found here: http://ta2027.plala.jp/Styler

Themes can be found here on Aqua-Soft and on several other sites...

Err, well that didn't work too well. I don't think it plays nice with windowblinds, are they not supposed to run together? :o Maybe I'll just put up with what I've got right now so I won't risk messing anything up (anymore than it might already be).

Strange?... my windowblids work fine with Styler... Play around with it a little and see if you can find a solution.

in Styler, under the Info tab there is a checkbox for StylerTB Mode. i think you want to check that if you are using WindowBlinds so that Styler doesn't try to override its style. i'm not a WB user but i think that's how it works. can anyone confirm?

I tried using it at TB Mode and it's still changing colors like the tooltip, active window titlebar text, some stuff in the shellstyle, and some of my right-click menus. There's no documentation with it and I'm not sure how to use it. I've downloaded a Truth styler theme and I really don't know how to apply it, I think it applied. The toolbar still doesn't match though.

If I start Styler after WindowBlinds it messes up the theme even though Styler is in TB mode. What I have to do is to unload WB and then load it again. You could try that...

This is primary reason I haven't installed it. It doesn't like working with WB5, as it likes to undo just about everything the WB theme has. I don't know how to avoid it, so I have avoided installing it.

You know, I've come to the same conclusion. I gave it a try two or three times and decided to uninstall it each time. Now I'm having some other issues that have popped up (like my start menu blinking once when I click on start) and I almost killed my computer yesterday anyway playing with reshack so I think I better stop while I'm ahead. :S

Styler + WB5 is a fine combo on my machine. Have you tried this? Make sure u unlock the toolbar section in explorer first. Rightclick on an empty space in the toolbar section of the explorer window, and then select, STYLER TOOLBAR from the list, make sure u installed ur preferred styler toolbar theme in the right location, or else it wont appear in the list. Disable the STANDARD BUTTONS, ADRESS BAR, and (if applicable) the NORTON ANTIVIRUS toolbar as well. Drag around the loaded styler toolbar until ur satisfied with it's location, and finally lock the toolbar section.
