Of course, we're always trying to emulate Finder which is one of the basic parts of OS X, if explorer were better maybe we shouldn't need to mod it.

i really like the explorer interface i just didn't like how it looked but now thats its modded its nive

Generally I think the Explorer UI is sound. There are one or two things missing from it though. I like OS X's Finder's implementation of graphics to offer shortcuts to your Applications, Computer, Pictures, etc, and this would be a good addition to Explorer. Generally though, Explorer looks and works pretty well.
