Do you mean as opposed to jpeg? Because png is better quality. I know the file size is a lot larger, but I like to go for quality over quantity.

I don't usually make all kinds of special sizes, but one or two requests don't bother me. Here's a 1920x1080 version (this one is jpeg only because of Imageshack's size requirements).

It's not the file size that I'm worrying about. It's that png is not a native wallpaper format. When you apply a png Windows actually turns it into a Bitmap internally. It's not really a hassle, I already converted it to Jpeg in Photoshop. Didn't notice a difference in quality either (I save it in the highest setting available).
