Howdy.
This is what my HD looks like :
I have windows XP installed on the first partition, and thats what I
used to boot from. Now I installed Vista on the third partition (don't
ask me why) and I would like to know if I can simply delete that
partition without ef'in up the bootloader. I noticed that Vista has
its own boot manager now and I don't know whether it installed
the piece of crap on the old partition or the new one.

restore xp's bootloader and you are set.

use the vista dvd, there is a program which does the trick... recovery-menu -> command prompt -> cd to the dvd-drive with the vista dvd -> cd to folder "boot" -> "bootsect.exe /nt52 SYS" without prompt overwrites the bootsector with the xp one.
there is another way too: use a windows xp-cd, boot it in recovery prompt (don't know how it is called in english) and use the "fixboot" - command.
This is off-topic, but your partition names are totally in the wrong order

Actually, the Greek originally comes from the Hebrew Aleph-Bet (first two letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and then...Aleph, Bet, Gimmel, Daled, Hay...)

Hehe I dunno why but windows automatically labelled them that way. I also have D: E: and G:
drives but they are optical and flash drives About the Alpha Beta Omega, They are in the order
of what i use the partitions for, not alphabetical
i know, i renamed my optical drives to excessivly large letters like t, s, etc. then relabelled the HD's and then relabelled the optical drives again.
plus liquidplasmaflow i know what you meant, and on top of the point of yours i made mine 
back on topic: i removed my vista copy too. i did this:
insert xp cd, boot from cd, press r, press 1 [or whatever windows installation], type in admin password [just press enter if you don't know it] and type in fixboot, reboot, reformat vista partition and merge it to another if necessary
