Description

This desklets shows the latests headlines from CNN.com's RSS feeds: available are 17 feeds, including World News, Top Stories, CNN Asia and more.

The desklet can be slid up to make it use less space when not in direct use: simply click the CNN logo to let it slide up with a nice animation.

+ The desklet can be used as a template for other RSS desklets. Actually, I created this CNN version from another desklet that I made for a local news site.

When I try to run it, it says can not run because aveimg.dll can not be found how can i fix this? I tryed putting it in the same place as aveimg.dll and it still didnt work...

Sorry your having problems. I had someone working on the site, but seems he has been either too busy or disappeared. I'll have to start to take some of the "submitted" work and do something about the site.

Of course not, I actually encourage it :) The idea of this widget was to make a good working basis for others to build sliding+feed desklets easily.

In fact, that's what I did with the CNN widget. I created it from another widget by only changing the graphics + feed source data.

Pays to read the code closer, had just glanced at it & was inspecting xml file more. :)

Edit: FYI I've got the following desklets essentially coded. Just need to work on graphics. So, if you want the code in order to do the graphics let me know.
