Changing fonts for Visual Styles

I'm not talking like major edits like colors and buttons and such but just something like changing the fonts. I'm guessing there is something that probably does this all. Or maybe even a program also that lets you make your own. I'd like to see how it's done. Thanks.

Sorry for hijacking the thread .

@ chriskate is it easy to do so ?

#397474

Yea, just open it, go to TEXTFILE on the side, go the normal one of the substyle you want a diff font for, click it, click Edit, and use the Replace tool to find and replace the fonts you want.

Then just save and WAH LAH!

i thought styler changes the fonts in your vs for you without having to hack anything.

Otherwise, this is just too general, and we probably already have a thread about it ;). What kind of visual style is this?

@ chriskate you are holding something back cause when you click Edit you can see only the Select All and Paste command and the only ''Replace tool'' i found is ''Replace other Resource'' under Action tab .

And this one can't change fonts .

#397644

When you click Edit, it should open the text file in Note Pad...then you use the Replace tool there.

Ok now thanks alot chriskate . Time to use some excellent themes with normal fonts .

#397672

Ok so I downloaded RESEDIT. Do I need to change each and every font name in the different subsections in this picture?

Sorry I don't know how to post images yet.

Sorry I wasn't sure where to post this. I guess I'm a bit "too" new. Hah. But I'm not talking about any specific VS I'm just talking in general.

Just change the ones with NORMAL in them. And also the 1, 2, 3, 4 are the different subystyles. If you only want a certain substyle's font changed, then just change that one. If you want to change the font for every substyle, them do all four of them.

Hey Chris, Im editing Luna Element 5 and I was wondering if you could tell me what enrty decides the font for the taskbar buttons and such, every time i change them to bold, it wont work.

#398164

Hmm...I'm not really familiar with each different name...I could probably find it as I have before but I don't remember. I would just search around for something with "Button" in it or "Taskband Button" and change things to see if I changed what I wanted and if not change it back. Trial and error is the best method.

It worked like a charm. Thanks a lot for the help.
